Oklahoma’s Samaje Perine used his size and toughness to gain tough yards for the Sooners and will continue to do just that for Washington, who selected him 114th in the fourth round. Perine, at 5’11 and 233 pounds, is a powerful back who consistently gains yards.

Two other teams, the New Orleans Saints and Titans, have a pair of first-round picks. The Saints have the No. 11 pick as well as the No. 32 pick, which they got from the Patriots in exchange for trading receiver Brandin Cooks to New England.

The Titans will first pick at No. 5, courtesy of last year’s draft trade with the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams moved up to draft quarterback Jared Goff, surrendering their 2017 first-round pick in the process.

Limited Womens Phil McConkey Jersey The Rams won’t be on the clock Thursday, but keep an eye on them. They have a history of making some blockbuster trades before or in the draft. The Patriots and Minnesota Vikings will also sit out the first round, unless they trade up.

Even if there’s not a big trade, the first day of the draft usually brings a good deal of excitement. Here’s how to watch it unfold. The Saints have more pressing needs than tailback, especially now that Adrian Peterson is officially a part of the roster. Mark Ingram is coming off his best season as a pro, and while McCaffrey could add value at several different positions — notably as a slot receiver and kick returner — there is a handful of defensive players who could have an even bigger impact at No. 11. If McCaffrey falls all the way to No. 32, it seems much more likely New Orleans would be his landing spot.
