Disgruntled WR Martavis Bryant calls in sick to Steelers meetings

The Martavis Bryant saga took another turn Monday when the talented but disgruntled receiver didn’t show up for Steelers meetings because of an illness.

Thomas Santanello, Bryant’s agent, said Bryant went to see a doctor Monday morning. Bryant was not in the Steelers facility, and his locker chair was folded during the media’s 45-minute window of open access Monday afternoon.

Injuries are a big reason the Ravens offense has been unable to get on track, ranking 31st in total offense. The Dolphins aren’t exactly lighting it up, with the NFL’s worst offense and a minus-20 point differential.

The Lions are in danger of falling out of the NFC North race and will host one of the NFL’s hottest teams.

Police say Kevin Conroy, of Millis, is charged with drug possession, negligent operation and possession of an open alcohol container.

Police say Langi was stopped at a traffic light in Foxborough on Oct. 13 when Conroy’s Jeep, going 50 mph, rear-ended him. The force pinned Langi’s car between the Jeep and the car in front of him.

Conroy had medications he said had been prescribed to him. He passed a Breathalyzer. He was not arrested, but will be summoned to court. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

Langi, an undrafted free agent from Brigham Young, and his wife were hospitalized for several days.
